Serious traffic crash, Kelvin Grove: The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a single vehicle crash that happened on the Inner City Bypass, Kelvin Grove, earlier this morning. At 4.30 a sedan collided with a concrete barrier leaving the driver entrapped. QAS and QFRS attended the scene and a 25-year-old man was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital with serious chest injuries. The road was closed for a short time and reopened at 6.30am.

Robbery with violence, Chermside; Two men will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court next month after allegedly assaulting and robbing a man overnight. A 17-year-old Chermside man was allegedly assaulted by two men at the 7th Brigade Park on Murphy Road just after 1am. He received minor facial injuries from the alleged incident and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police have arrested and charged a 19-year-old Inala man and a 20-year-old Acacia Ridge man with one count of robbery with violence whilst in company, each. The men are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates on October 25.
