Clandestine laboratory located, Currumbin Waters:  Police have charged a man after officers allegedly located a clandestine laboratory at a Currumbin Waters home yesterday. Around 2pm police executed a search warrant at a Currumbin Creek Road residence and allegedly located a clandestine laboratory, drug related property and a quantity of dangerous drugs. Officers from the Illicit Laboratory Investigation Team attended and examined the scene.  A 31-year old Currumbin Creek man was charged with two counts of possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of possession of thing, fail to dispose of syringe and possession of property used in commission of a drug offence.  He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today. A 28-year-old Currumbin Creek man was offered drug diversion for possession of a thing and possession of a dangerous drug.  Investigations are continuing.

Clandestine laboratory located, Nanango:  A 57-year-old Nanango man is to face court on a number of charges following the alleged discovery of a drug laboratory at a house on Oaky Creek Road on Wednesday.  He has been charged with possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils, producing dangerous drugs and possessing anything for use in the commission of a crime; as well as unlawful possession of a motor vehicle, burglary and receiving tainted property. The man is due to appear in the Murgon Magistrates Court today.

Dangerous driving causing death charges, Tinbeerwah: Officers from the Sunshine Coast Forensic Crash Unit have charged a 19-year-old Tewantin man with dangerous driving causing death after two 18-year-old Tewantin men died following a two vehicle traffic crash on February 17 at Tinbeerwah. The vehicles, one containing three teenagers and the other a 60-year-old Cooran man were traveling along the Cooroy- Noosa Road when they collided around 3.50pm. The man is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 13.
