Grievous bodily harm, Mudgeeraba:  A man has been charged and another man is in the Gold Coast Hospital following an alleged incident at Mudgeeraba around 5pm yesterday.  It will be alleged that the two men became involved in an altercation at an address on the Gold Coast-Springbrook Road. The 29-year-old Mudgeeraba man in a serious but stable condition.  A 20-year-old man, also from Mudgeeraba, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

Attempted murder charge, Sunnybank Hills:  A man has been charged with attempted murder, acts intended to maim and wilful damage following an alleged incident at Sunnybank Hills.  The charges arise from an alleged incident at an Acacia Place address around 11pm Monday night that has left a 59-year-old Sunnybank Hills woman in the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life threatening injuries.  The 24-year-old Sunnybank Hills man allegedly sustained injuries during the incident and was also taken to the PA Hospital.  A bedside hearing was conducted yesterday where he was charged.
