Drug charges, Elanora:  Police have charged a 39-year-old Elanora man after executing a warrant on a Cornwall Street residence in Elanora this morning.  It is alleged police found 12 marijuana plants and various drug paraphernalia.  The man was charged with one count each of produce drugs, possess drugs, possess utensil and possess property suspected of having been used in connection to the commission of a drug offence.  He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrate’s Court on August 8.


Attempted murder charges, Regents Park:  A 21-year-old Heritage Park man has been charged following an incident in Regents Park yesterday.  Around 10pm it is alleged the man visited a Dorachus Drive residence where he was involved in an altercation that resulted in the stabbing of a 26-year-old man.  The man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and underwent surgery for his injuries and is currently in a critical condition.  The 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.  He is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.

Armed person and drug charges, Warner: A 24-year-old Bracken Ridge man will appear in the Pine River Magistrates Court today on four counts of possession of a dangerous drug. Police intercepted the man in the suburb of Warner, who allegedly was found to have a number of drugs in his possession. The man is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
