Robbery charges, Spring Hill: Police have charged a man and a teenage girl after an alleged robbery at Spring Hill earlier this morning. Around 1am a 27-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were approached by a man and girl on Fortescue Street. The man allegedly punched the male victim several times while the girl attempted to steal property from the female victim. The pair then allegedly demanded cash from the victims, they were given a sum of money and then fled on foot. Police were called and quickly located the pair at a nearby location. The 29-year-old man has been charged with robbery with violence and is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today. The 16-year-old girl will be dealt with under the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

Police injured, Southport:  A 20-year-old Stockleigh man has been charged following an incident at Scarborough Street, Southport yesterday afternoon.  Two police officers attended a disturbance at Scarborough Street when they were allegedly assaulted by the man.  Both officers had to be transported to hospital for treatment with one sustaining a badly bruised ankle and the other suffered bruising to the face.  It will also be alleged that a third officer was assaulted at the Southport Watchhouse receiving bruising.  The man has been charged with three counts of serious assault police and is due to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court on September 9.
