Origin Team
So Benny Elias has come out and declared the Blues will win this years Origin series 3 – nil. The same person along with Brett Kenny said Darren Lockyer is too old and too slow!
Elias says the amount of injuries Queensland players have suffered will work against the Maroons. Well I couldn’t disagree with Benny more.
I see changes on and off field to the Maroons will make them event hungrier. There will be no complacency. The team will be firing on all cylinders when they bid for the record of 5 series wins in a row.
See what you think of this –
1. Billy Slater
2. Israel Folau
3. Greg Inglis
4. Brent Tate
5. Lote Tuqiri
6. Darren Lockyer ©
7. Johnathon Thurston
8. Petero Civoneceva
9. Cameron Smith
10. Steve Price
11. Sam Thaiday
12. Nate Myles
13. Ashley Harrison
14. Ben Hannant
15. Mick Crocker
16. David Stagg
17. Cooper Cronk
I’ve picked the team subject to fitness, but expect the likes of Willie Tonga, Darius Boyd and David Shillington to be hovering around the place.
Let me know who you think the Queensland selectors will come up with?

I like the look of your team, Peter.
I just wish Justin Hodges was there. The key to winning a fifth series will be hunger - something we lacked in game three last year. I hope Mal can get the team fired up, then we can win it!

Agree with your team Peter,
except I would have Willie Tonga in the N0 4 and Brent
Tate in reserves.
You can always count on Benny
Elais to put his two cents worth and boot in,but Brett
Kenny's comments about Darren
really did surprise me.I
agree with Wayne Pearce whrn he says that the players
will want to send Darren out a winner, although they won't talk about it in public,in
private that will be the call.Cherie Monday 12 April, 2010 - 7:03 PM
