Am planning to move into the Caboolture area from the ACT. Living in Canberra you get a real good insight working out the phonies (no surprise with Kevin). Will admit, till I did the google search about 30 minutes ago, never heard of Michael Smith or Wyatt Roy. Michaels, manner was quite condescending though will concede if Wyatt did get in he'll cop much worse. Suspect the LNP will be giving Wyatt a tap on the shoulder sometime soon no doubt "for the good of the party." and he wont be running anyway. Nevertheless, it would be interesting to hear from locals who actually know the Roy's to determine if theirs any substance to the lad. For my part, the initial impressions are quite positive so wont write him of just yet.

It appears that there is more to come because the
candidate for Longman for the Liberal National Party,
one Wyatt Roy, appears also to be under threat of dis-
endorsement. Recently in an interview on 4BC, within
the one interview he managed to claim that both sides
of politics supported the invasion of Iraq, which of
course is not true. He then said that he did not know
which year this invasion occurred. He then said that the
Liberal National Party did not have a policy on child
support. When asked for the party’s policy on asylum
seekers he said, ‘Well as we have said, we will turn
back the boats, we will … ah … go through the process
of turning them into legitimate … ah … arrivals and
we will begin to look at that … how we go about doing

I think Wyatt was asked easy questions compared to the ones he will be asked should he be elected.
Infact it was Wyatt who was rude. If you listened to the interview you would have heard Wyatt talk over Smithy instead of listening to the so called hard questions...

You've gone harder on a 20 year candidate than you have with federal ministers.
Sure you might feel better about yourself to try and knock this kid off, but mate, your angle appears to be one of a bully.
