The Chaser and dead babies
“Why go to any trouble when they’re only gonna die anyway.” - Listen to the clip here
I was channel-surfing during last night’s episode of The Chaser and I saw the routine about the Make a Wish Foundation.
It was like a knife in the heart. My little girl Lucy died at 5 months old and The Chaser routine brought it all back. The smell of the hospital. Holding her little body. Handing her over to the nurses and funeral directors. The funeral. Picking up her ashes.
That’s the reality of what those heartless, self-important wannabes were sending up.
And your taxes paid for it. What the hell is that about?
The ABC must sack them today. This is a real test for Mark Scott, the CEO of the ABC.
I emailed him this morning. I’ll let you know what he’s going to do.

we are switching off, they did not make the point they wanted to make in a suitable manner, our family has emailed the ABC and have signed an online petition, I also beleive in free speech, and I beleive in accepting the consequences of ones actions. I was more sickened by the insincere apologies that have since been offered.
For every action there is a reaction, they knew that there would be, mine is to support those who want to get them off air.

This evil husband took Tina's life. The judge has given him a pat on the back. Come to Australia and murder someone. You will not be in jail long? He should be executed for this crime. I apologize to her family for the decrease we have shown them. I am ashamed to be an Australian. She deserved much more..

Both my son and I are both fans of the chaser and have been for some time, that was untill the other night. My son was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2003 which has been an onging battle ever since. I cannot even begin to describe to you the amount of trauma and the nightmare that we have endured over the last 5 years. I would never expect anyone else to understand the heart wrenching emotional pain that the whole family encounters throughout this process unless they had been through it themsleves. I consider myslef won of the lucky ones because my son is still here.
What the Chaser did the other night was a
All the chaser did the other night was show to me their level of immaturity and lack of talent. It is also quite obvious to me that none of these blokes has ever done a decent days work in there lives, rather prefering to bludge on taxpayers money.
They call that humour. I do not. I will never watch that crap again. I can't believe our taxes pay for this.Anthony Wright Friday 5 June, 2009 - 1:28 PM -
The Chasers have got to go - we do not need blatant disrepect for human life - they have crossed the line - satarist point of view or not!
The apology was another slap in the face - din't mean a thing - the damage had been done! Fire them!Cherith Weis Friday 5 June, 2009 - 9:16 AM
