Rape victim injustice

Michael Smith revisits a rape case from two years ago, which happened to a young 30-year-old nurse working in a clinic in the Torres Strait. The assailant, Dennis William Kris, has recently pleaded guilty, but the victim is still struggling to receive any compensation from Queensland Health or the government. Have your say.

I am a rape victim myself and I know how hard it is for the victim or survivor as i prefer to put it. I had a hung jury in a supreme court case trial back in 1996, only 2 jury members had doubts. they were probably perverts themselves. I was too of a mess to go back for a second trial so i had to let the bastard free. Its a long road to any sort of recovery or healing and i totally understand your anger and revolt. The government's treatment of this nurse is deplorable.

While that are many other Government employees on fully paid stress leave this poor Nurse is left abandoned by the public organisation that she represented. Shame on you Anna Bligh

Its must be very clear to all in this State that our Justice system has been compromised. This disgraceful episode, that of the deal with Watson, the re-instatement of the Police Commissioner, the actions of the C.M.C. and many other examples of Political Interference, not to mention the continued/continuing release of paedophiles and sexual deviants back into our Society by an obviously inept Parole Board; the breakdown of law and order by uncontrollable youths on our streets, and a Bliar led Government who refuses to accept any responsibility
for this breakdown; the refusal of the Government to accept Courts decisions relating to the Doomagee Affair surely must prove that this State Labour Government is an inept and incompetent one. Anna Bliar and Co. we are coming to get you!!!!!

During this afternoons interview with Tony Abbott's wife could she pleased be asked who controls the money in their house.Then could she be asked why the mortgage on the family home has more than doubled in the last 15 years and why didn't they "pay down the debt"? Were they living beyond their means and did they turn their home into an "ATM"?
