Paedophiles
Policing paedophile rings is hard, painstaking work.
And it’s just as hard in Australia as it is in the United States or other countries.
Our police, particularly in Queensland have often led the world in breaking up child pornography rings. The United States Department of Justice singled out Queensland Constable Brenden Power for special praise in the conviction of 5 ring-leaders in a global paedophile ring,
“An Australian constable who infiltrated the group in August 2006 testified at trial about how group members employed a complex system of pseudonyms, screening tests for new members and sophisticated encryption methods to avoid detection.
"He also testified that the group traded more than 400,000 images and 1000 videos of child sexual abuse before it was dismantled by law enforcement."
In the United States those 5 ring-leaders were jailed for life. And life means life.
30 year old Derek Richard Mara, the Townsville-based former Australia Post human resources manager was also a founding member of the paedophile ring. But he wasn’t tried in the US. He had the cushy experience of coming before a Queensland court.
Our system sentenced him to just 32 months in jail. And he has had the gall to appeal against the severity of that sentence.
Life in the United States. 32 months in Queensland. For the same crimes against children.
No wonder we have frustrated police. And angry parents. I am furious.
Why do we have any tolerance at all for sexual crimes against children? There’s ample evidence that this filthy behaviour doesn’t just “go away”. Sexual deviants tend to be recidivist offenders. They will do it again.
I see no reason why people guilty of sexual offences against children should not be locked up for life. The issue is simply that important.
It happens in the United States. Why should Queensland children be given a lesser standard of care?
Queensland’s Attorney General is Cameron Dick. Today I’ll let you know what he intends to do about this anomaly.

You may remember the Myanmar cyclone damage from last year where many children were left homeless and sometimes without parents. Pedophiles or their agents were scouring the countryside for children to sell on the black market. This taboo human behavior against children is probably as low as it gets except for those countries where they execute children, or remove a hand or a foot for what we consider petty crimes. There is no place in a modern society for those who would harm our children.

I am absolutely astonished at the sheer number of this scum that they keep finding.
