“It is fast becoming horribly apparent why Prime Minister Julia Gillard broke all land speed records to get herself to an election”, writes Rebecca Wilson. Michael Smith talks with News journalist Rebecca Wilson about the current performance of prime minister Julia Gillard.

  • Julia says we are now going to see the real her not the tightly controlled her that we have been seeing. Many including the media have made fun of her yet no one is attacking Abbott for doing the same thing. He says what you see is what you get. Rubbish, he has been told to controll himself and not lash out and make stupid comments as he tends to do. We are not seeing the real Tony Abbott. He has publically stated that you can't believe what he says unless he is reading from written script. You can't ctiticise one for doing what the other is doing. The realities are that we have two people wanting our support for prime minister who both would have us believe that they are something that there not.

  • I think its time for me to make sure that the real Julia Gillard is well and truly on display. So Im going to STEP UP AND TAKE PERSONAL CHARGE of what we do ... she said today. Yes Prime Minister! We believe it when you step FORWARD, show true leadership and ACT on our judicial corruption and human rights abuse complaint. Wanna bet after the election we will still be a backward parliamentary dictatorship. And politicians will return to their ivory castles and thank us for giving them a mandate to do as they please.
Without respect for human rights, without the right to veto detrimental government decisions via citizen initiated referenda like Switzerland has had for many decades. And where the rule of law means nothing, because privilege is usually above the law, while ordinary citizens are clearly beneath the law.

Do NOT be fooled by fancy television ads. Both teams offer essentially the same menu of neo-liberal conservatism. They should convince us to vote in community halls like they used to. And allow us to ask them direct questions.
I will be saying NO! at this election. NO! I do NOT think we should be forced to suffer under the excesses of the state and parliamentary dictatorship, which does NOT govern in the national interest and DOES NOT CARE about Australian citizens.
And which will put the civil rights, including the right to legal advocacy of illegal aliens BEFORE the rights of Australian born children and adults.
We will not give anyone a mandate to ride roughshod over us for the next three years.

    Will you?

  • Whether Julia Gillards boyfriend Tim stands beside her at functions, is irrelevant to me. What counts is REAL substance, honesty, integrity, respect for constituents, the rule of law and a human rights bill NOW to protect us from the abuse of power and political malpractice. Im so tired of all the lies. Labor has lost its sense of purpose and critical core values. And just like Kevin Rudd, Julia Gillard denies us and our inalienable human right to access to public service and protection by the state under the international treaties Australia has signed. She is ignoring me and my open letter to her --Open letter to Federal Clerk of Parliament, Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Federal Parliament-- http://bit.ly/ad5O8G and denies us advocacy and access to public service in our very own country on equal terms.

How on earth can she reconcile this with her claim she is compassionate and governing in the national interest? Ms Gillard used moving/stepping forward twenty-one times in one speech alone, yet she doggedly refuses to step forward and acknowledge and advocate for us on the documented and corroborated judicial abuse and judicial corruption complaint against an unrepresented Australian bullied schoolboy.
Stop denying us Prime Minister, be honest and say only what you really mean! This is week 10 (ten) of my political protest outside your Labor colleague, John Mickel, Speaker of Parliaments electorate office and he walks right past us and pretends we do not exist and are not demonstrating in front of his office. We are still waiting to hear from you Prime Minister! Will you ever acknowledge us and show true leadership here?

  • What's odd about this is Rebecca Wilson thinking Australians have an absolute RIGHT to know more about the man with whom our Prime Minister is in a relationship. I want to know more about our PM, not about her partner. She has an entitlement to keep her private life private.

And I've never heard a more shallow argument that simply because Tim may be living in the Lodge - living off 'taxpayer' money - the PM should trot him out for a photo shoot. Who cares?

If you apply the logic that voters need to know about a partner because it gives us an insight into the leader's morals and ideals..well, forget it! Everyone knew Hawkey was a cheating ass - didn't stop them re-electing him on the basis on his policies!

Where's your focus on policy and performance Rebecca? Stick to sport

  • Neil Roberts thinks that we are all as stupid as he is when it comes to his thinking on aircraft in policing..Maybe when Anna Bliar sells our assets she will have some $KEVS left over -- But I suppose if the coppers would only use it 20 hours a year (WHICH IS MORE BULLS--T) Why would he bothered, yet The Bliar spends 3 KEVS on self centred LABOR promotion on postage...
