Morning round up - July 14th
Assault occasioning bodily harm charge, Brisbane: Police have charged a 34-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, both from Kangaroo Point, with assault occasioning bodily harm after an alleged altercation with man working on Elizabeth Street last night. Around 8pm a 32-year-old man was working when the man and the woman verbally abused him and then allegedly assaulted him. The man was allegedly punched in the face and hit over the head with a plastic jug. The man sustained a minor laceration to his forehead, bruising and swelling to his face and lip. The man is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 29, the woman is to appear today.
Serious assault, Greenslopes: A 37-year-old man from Alderley has been charged following an alleged assault of a woman at Greenslopes yesterday. It will be alleged that the man spat at her shortly after 4.30pm. He has been charged with serious assault and is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates court today.
