smithy, i saw an ad for the qnu last night on the telly and i was astounded that a union, with members who can not even get paid properly, would spend union fees (taken by direct debit whether you get paid or not) on ads that were so unbelievable. it just shows how sneaky the unions are by taking members hard earned dollars and wasting it on the union bosses own agenders. do the unions ask the members where they would like the union dues spent or is it an automatic labor party fighting fund? not all union members are labor voters. the problem is some industries require union membership.

There is no genuine public consultation on anything and we really do need citizen initiated referenda on demand. The people should decide whether we should have police helicopters or not. I think police helicopters are probably a good idea. They have them in America. I understand Bob Atkinson would like to stay on in his job, but Queensland urgently needs a patriotic, fiercely independent and impartial Police Commissioner, who will uphold the rule of law and treat citizens with respect, dignity and fairness and act on complaints. And always keep the Police Mission statement in mind:
To serve the people in Queensland by protecting life and property, preserving peace and safety, preventing crime and upholding the law in a manner which has regard for the public good and the rights of the individual.
Mr Atkinson, who is politically appointed and not democratically elected has not been acting in the publics best interests. He should NOT be reappointed.
Queensland deserves better. And I would also like a Police Commissioner, who will act on my documented and corroborated judicial corruption complaint as detailed in

And as mentioned in the e-petition, which the Independent Member for Kingaroy sponsored for us, because our local MP, John Mickel the Speaker continues to refuse to represent us!

PS: Even some police complain about a police culture!
