Climate Change - religion getting into your life even if you don't believe it

Posted by: Michael Smith | 13 November, 2009 - 12:40 PM
declaration

We are starting to see how much this climate change hysteria is going to affect your life.

Premier Bligh’s husband Greg Withers is the bureaucrat (assistant director-general) who’s in charge of the state government’s Office of Climate Change.

If you want a hint about how much the madness is going to get into every little bit of your life, read this form.

Anyone who has a property for sale in Queensland form 1 January next year will have to fill in this form.

I can’t bring myself to give you a summary of this form – every single bit of the tightly formatted document reeks of interference in your life.

You’ll have to calculate your greenhouse gas emissions.   You’ll have to sign a declaration that you’re aware that it’s an offence to give false or misleading information on the form.

Have a read of this and let your friends know.

Update - the Queensland Government will be holding "training" sessions to discuss its sustainability changes. http://www.dip.qld.gov.au/sustainable-housing/free-training.html

Blog comments Your Say

  • Hi, Just an update to my post on the 30th above. Hope this is clearer to read and understand.

    a. Government issues $6Billion in ETC's.

    b. Australian businesses buy $6Billion in ETC's.

    c. Australian businesses need to generate $6Billion in income over costs, interest and taxes = $103Billion. [ Profit margins calculated at 7.8% and Tax calculated at 35%]

    d. Government receipts $36Billion in tax revenue.

    e. Consumer public pays $10.3Billion in GST [eventually as end of line users].

    f. Government’s return on initial issue of $6Billion in ETC’s = $52.6Billion.

$52.6Billion sounds strangely like the amount spend over the past 2 years on government stimulus packages. Net reduction in green house gases from initial issue of 6Billion as ‘ETC’s’, that is, as pieces of paper = 0%.

  • The issuing of Emission Trading Certificates, ETC's, as a piece of paper or legislation will not reduce greenhouse gases. However, the scheme will place a large debt upon Australian manufacturing and service industries who will have to recoup, after costs and taxes, from the client and consumer public the initial cost of purchasing their ETC’s. I am not sure of the exact figures but if $6Billion AUD is issued as ETC’s with a general profit growth GDP of 7.8% [ABC Finance Tuesday 24th Nov 2009] and a general company tax of, let’s say 35%, Industry will have to generate a gross turnover of around $100Billion to generate sufficient profit over costs to service the $6BillionAUD issue ETC debt

  • Swiss are smart- Lets do the same here - Until Islamic leaders decry all the violence nobody will trust them

  • I totally agree with the comments re muslims attempting to spread their hatred into Switzerland..
We need to have the same opportunities here to exert the will of the MAJORITY on important issues affecting our country.
Currently, we are being FORCED to accept the views of the RADICAL LEFTIST MINORITY.
    So much for DEMOCRACY!

  • Wobblyone you are spot on! The Swiss don't want to be islamised and don't want their culture and way of life destroyed by foreigners. They have the power of citizen initiated referendum and they have told their leaders exactly what they want. If they wanted a repressive sustainability declaration form they could ask for that too, respectively veto this huge intrusion into private homes and lives. That is what we need here in Australia. Direct democracy via citizen initiated referendum. Why won't you give us long overdue citizen initiated referenda so that we can have our say like the Swiss Mr Rudd?

    no democracy Monday 30 November, 2009 - 1:30 PM
  • Switzerland has taken a positive step to stop the cancerous growth of Islam. By referendum, they have made it law that there will be no more mini-mosques. Congratulations to them.
    Hey KRUDDY AND WRONG BONG
Why don't you get Citizen Initiated Referenda into law here. That would be something really worthwhile.
Then you could see just how popular your bullshit legislation regarding the proven SCAM OF CLIMATE CHANGE really is.
Nahhhh !!!!! KRUDDY knows just how bloody stupid he would look if people were really made aware of what he's up to.
