Children sold into slavery

This is Barbara Tokley.

No wonder she’s smiling.   Kevin Rudd has just taken $1,400 from me and given it to her.   link here

And she’s spent it on a holiday in the country where she lives.   New Zealand.

She lived in Australia for a few years in the 1960s.     So Australia pays a tiny part of her New Zealand pension.   But Kevin decided that she’d get 100% of the package that he lied about.   The package that he said was designed to stimulate the Australian economy.

And she’s not alone.   Kevin took money from tax-paying Australians and sent it to 69,000 people who live overseas.   $75 million.   To be spent in other countries.

A Bondi reader told one of our company’s newspapers, the Sydney Morning Herald of her surprise at receiving "a phone call from Germany, where my ex-husband resides for the last 46 years, after working several years in Australia". He, too, got the $1400. It was galling for the woman who, at 67, still works and is entitled to none of the stimulus money. Her ex-husband has not lived here since 1963.

"I cannot begin to imagine how huge a sum of money has left our country and is stimulating other economies!" she said.

I can’t imagine it either.   Kevin Rudd is starting to show exactly what sort of person he is.   Sloppy.   It’s just $75 million.   So what.   Chicken-feed when you’re borrowing $200KEV plus interest of about $14KEV per year from our children.

The children growing up in Australia will have to bear the burden of the debt decisions this man is making.    Australians are shocked when we hear of foreigners who sell their children into slavery to pay off debt.   Kevin Rudd’s doing something that’s not far short of that.   The next generations of Australians will have to pay for his decisions – before they can start to build their own lives.

His shoddy, slip-shod, short-term approach to running our country is a disgrace.
