Barnaby Joyce
You may have heard my interview with Barnaby Joyce last Friday.
I’ve had more feedback about this interview than I’ve had on any single issue since Mr Turnbull was rolled over the ETS.
It’s really divided opinions and I thought I’d put it up in a blog to get further comments from you.
One school of thought is summed up by this letter from listener Anthony V.
“I heard your interview with Barnaby Joyce this afternoon and I must say that I feel exactly like you do. I had a feeling of mourning about it. He was the only politician that had the steel in his spine to speak up about the lunacy of the ETS.
Now in my mind he’s been lost. The whole basis for getting rid of Malcolm Turnbull and the ETS was the outspokenness of Barnaby Joyce and yourself inspiring the people to act. Why on earth would his party put a gag on him?”
Others say I should have had that conversation with Barnaby in private. I couldn’t disagree more. I am a conservative, not a promoter of the LNP, the Liberal Party or the National Party. I’m interested in debate about ideas, not party-discipline or spin.
I think Tony Abbott has made a major error in putting Barnaby into the Finance portfolio. But you may have different views; I’d love to hear them.

Barnaby. You are a bloody gun mate...
Last night on Q & A the whacko's thought they had the A team organised to make a dickhead out of you.
Well you sure showed the big left wing dork with the bouffant hairdo , on several occasions, that his smartarse comments were not scoring points.
And I loved it when you put the two who seemed to want the child porn. to become the subject of maybe a couple of lucrative little jobs they could see looming.
Just beautiful Barnaby.Wobblyone Tuesday 16 February, 2010 - 12:37 PM -
I said Labor wouldn't want a snake like Turnbull in their midst.

Hey Gayle - 10.57pm 09.02.10
Politics is never mentioned from the pulpit of our Church. I am a Cattletick Gayle, quite frankly I deplore the Party of the People, the Australian Labour Party led by the Queensland Connection, Rudd, Bliar, Swan, and that has been bludger in America, Beattie - to name but a few!!!!C'mon Barnaby, C'mon.Phil of Springwood Wednesday 10 February, 2010 - 12:26 PM -
