It’s about that time of year when families are planning to load up the car and hit the highways.

It can be a wonderful experience, a couple of weeks away in a beautiful location without a care in the world.

Plenty of time to sit back, put your feet up, perhaps do some fishing, play beach cricket...in fact pretty much do whatever you feel like.

Or it can be the worst couple of weeks of your life.

Choked highways, expensive petrol and accommodation, whinging kids, heat, bugs, jellyfish, mosquitoes, British backpackers, other holidaymakers...need I go on?

At the end of the day I reckon a lot of people are just happy to get home and head back to work.
