Anyone who has anything good to contribute should be allowed to just jump in and do it. If its just that easy ... but its not so because everything around us is complicated.

My husband and I have been long time supporters and members of the Liberal party and moved to the Sunshine coast 10 years ago and this is when it went downhill, we tried to get involved but the poison was right through the branches and we felt in the end that we cound no longer be members. When you come back we will rejoin a branch - not sure which one but will look for guidance in this matter to ensure that at preselection for Fisher you take the seat and we get rid of Slipper once and for all. If I could tell you the number of people I had to convince to vote LNP at the last election because they did not want Slipper in again. I will look forward to working next to you to ensure that you win the seat again and yes I to believe that you can and will be our prime minister one day soon.

I hope Mal Brough returns to politics, it was a breath of fresh air seeing him back on TV this morning in the political arena, I prefer him to Tony Abbot.

Mal Brough has never applied to join the LNP. Until he takes that step, the Party can not consider him as a possible candidate.

It would be GREAT if Mal Brough returned to politics -We need more people like him and no doubt he would be most welcome. Mal was a great asset in the Howard government and will be again in the Abbott team. Here's hoping he does get on board.

It seems a shame that there isn't a quick remedy for this problem. I must say that I was disappointed that Mal Brough lost his seat at the last election as I believed he showed the greatest potential to lead the party at some future time. He looked the part, acted the part, was well educated, well spoken and could dish it out if needed. His involvement with the Intervention brought criticism from Labor however I don't think they knew he was of Aboriginal heritage himself. With experience in the Army and business behind him Mal Brough is an outstanding candidate in all ways.
