Blog comments Your Say

  • Hi Greg:
I'm not usually moved to post comments in the public domain. I have recently been made redundant from my job of 22yrs and have been applying for jobs with no success, rarely even get a response from the business I'm applying to. I can see why young people get disillusioned with the whole process and give it up and go lie on a beach. If a business advertises for an employee and someone applies, that business should at the very least acknowledge the application and tell the applicant that they were not successful. And as for experience, how does one get the experience if the employers won't give you a start. If no one trains, there will come a time when you have no experienced workers. What do you do then. Bring employees in from overseas because there are no trained workers here.
I'll get off my soapbox now and go back to looking for a job.
    Cheers
    Mick

  • GREG,

Can you please tell me where I can find the letter sent by Nils-Axel Morner to the PM of Mauritius.

  • Greg, I'd much rather Bob Atkinson (or even the police union mouthpiece) comment on Mick Isles and that stinking situation than on any shiny, new revenue raisers. Pity they didn't take as much care with individuals as they do with the folding stuff. Let Mr. Atkinson do the job of Police Commissioner, working for the people and policemen/women instead of being a puppet to this corrupt Government.

  • hi greg, you have a great show it is fair and informative.i just want to comment on that piece of filth that got find $600 for the crime he committed.you suggested he'd be put in jail.i do agree with you.the problem is there are too many people in our jails now.at least a third of them should not be there, they should be put out on the roads with yellow or red clothing on and clean our river banks and roads.it cost about $30.000 to keep a person in jail.i'm not prepaired to pay that much of my money to keep him or her in jail.this piece of dirt should be made to go on the road to keep our streets clean.his foto should all over the media.or if posible, deported to where ever he came from.
