Just heard Bob Atkinson interveiw . God help us all if this man has got to the level of commisioner , I mistakenly thought that cream rises to the top .My message to Mr Atkinson is you want more evidence .... it is screaming at you , stop stuffing around and get this case reinvestigated , you are looking like you are trying to protect your own . Grow up and do the right thing .

Greg,
i listen to 4BC every day and throughout the some coments made by you stationare getting on my nerves.
in relation to electricaly testing ceilings after foil insulation bungle 4BC presenters keep stating that electricians are charging $400 to test, this is not correct Electrical Contractors might be charging this but not Electricians, please get it right you are giving Electrician a bad name. Some of the electricians could be getting as little as $19 per hourjohn Wednesday 17 March, 2010 - 10:12 AM -
Greg,
I've just listened to your comments about the Chief Justices reasoning for reducing the sentence of the bikeway rapist. You should be proud and I congratulate you for your reasoned and well thought out comments. Believe me you speak so aptly for the vast majority of the people of Queensland. You are absolutely spot on with your comments and we all support you. Please keep up the fantastic work you do. We know that you know the 'real feelings' of the people. The Chief Justice should come out of his ivory tower and see what kind of world he is helping to create for "the real people," of Queensland. Greg you and Mike SMITH are the champions for reality and commonsense which this Chief Justice is obviously lacking in.

I suspect there has been a conspiracy. For quite a few years now, Queensland Courts have been reducing the penalties given to criminals. Whether this is as some direct result of the Penalties and Sentences Act, or, the by way of values and beliefs of Judges and Magistrates appointed under the Labor government, there has been a noticeable watering down of sentences. The consequences are, that when an Appeal is made by the DPP against manifestly inadequate sentences, the Appeal Court Judges look to recent sentencing. All well and good, except that the "sentences" the Appeal Court refers to, have been watered down over time. The result is the grossly unjust and inadequate sentence now placed upon the criminal, Colless. I am certainly not happy with this situation, and neither would the victims of this "person", I am sure. I wonder if the Attorney General has ever thought about ensuring that Judges enforce the law, and not just use their own, "interpretation" of the law. Probably not, and therein lyes the real problem.
