Burglary, Woodridge: Police have charged a 39-year-old Calamvale man and a 17-year-old Beenleigh man with burglary charges after an incident at a fire station on Kingston Road. Around 10.30 last night police were called and allegedly found the men carrying property from the premises. It is alleged two men entered the building unlawfully and stole a lap top and car keys. The men allegedly returned a short time later and again entered the building and then gained access to a motor vehicle where they allegedly stole sporting equipment and a mobile phone. The men have been charged with two counts of entering premises with intent, two counts of stealing and unlawful entry to a motor vehicle. The 17-year-old man was bailed to appear at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on August 12. The 39-year-old man will appear in the same court today.  

Armed robbery in a home, Newtown: Police are searching for two men who were armed with firearms when they broke into a home and threatened the owner last night. Around 10.30 the 49-year-old home owner confronted two men in his Lusitania Street home. One man was armed with what appeared to be a shortened shot gun and the other man had a hand gun. The men allegedly threatened the home owner several times and detained him within the house while they searched rooms and stole property. The man was not injured during the incident and the intruders escaped with property including a lap top, camera, i-phone and the man’s wallet. Police located some property discarded nearby. One intruder was described as being about 25-years-old, fair complexion with some freckles, blondish-red hair, 175cm, and a fit build. The second man was described as being 178cm, stocky build, olive complexion, dark brown hair. Burglary and stolen car , Albany Creek: Police are searching for a stolen vehicle which was taken during a burglary at a home in Albany Creek yesterday. An intruder broke into the Lambertia street home and stole items of jewellery, cash and the keys to a sports sedan in the garage of the house. The 2010 model red Porche Carrera coupe was believed to have been stolen around 2.30 and was last seen on Hamilton Road at Chermside around 9.30pm.
