  • James Weir ~ You berate me because I fail to recognise Tony Abbott as a less of a âÂ?Â?fiscal conservative" in spite of his actions. Borrowing up large in recession, throwing $1Bn at Wilkie when his Budget numbers already had a huge black hole in it.

As someone who works in the property development industry and therefore I imagine been involved in forward projections would know that a difference in the interest rate percentage used in the modelling makes a difference in the outcome. The Treasury used 4.9% the Coalition used 5.5%

The proof is in the pudding Mr Weir.

Treasury said the BER would cost $14.7 B it has cost $16 B

Labor Party said the COMPUTERS IN SCHOOLS would cost $1B it hascost $2.2 B

Neither of these two policies is finished yet

Treasury said the FIRST HOME SAVER ACCOUNT would cost $ 1.2 it cost $200 M

So lets all yell and scream and give great media coverage to $500 million difference in a $8.5 billion Coalition policy, but let not us look at the Intierra report, a global resources intelligence firm that declared that the mineral resources rent tax will raise about $2.5 billion in its first two years, compared with the $10 billion the government forecast.

I remain morbidly curious as to the detail of the SECRET DEAL Gillard made with the three big mining companies prior to the election, remember the details of which were not to be revealed till after the election.

Let us yell and scream and give great media coverage to $1 B to the Hobart hospital but let us not even wonder where the $9.9B to health and infrastructure that Gillard has now promised to regional Australia. Remember Wilkie ASKED the Coalition capitulated.

  • Can't fathom another 3Years of the julia government! Its a joke they only got in because of the so call independant who are not so independant! As I watched Oakeshott lean other to Windsor and his noxious giggle what a mess!

    Lucy Tuesday 7 September, 2010 - 4:46 PM
  • Bring on the next election and remove this LSOS from view.
Do those idiot Independents really think that having guillotined KRUDDY, that Joolya would hesitate to lie to and cheat on their misguided intentions.
    "I'll do whatever it takes".
Remember those words you donkeys, and watch her get her agenda going again.

    Wobblyone Tuesday 7 September, 2010 - 4:43 PM
  • The only donkeys are those in sure seats as they don't get any sweetneners thrown at them, they just get taken for granted by the 2 major parties. We will only find out what Independants' electorates think of their actions and performances at the next election, which may be sooner, rather than later.
