  • I was on the table to have lip, nose and forehead melanoma removed under general anestetic when the surgeon came in looked at the back of my hands and asked me what i was in for,i told him then he said he would do it with local anestetic i refused and got off the table and got dressed and left the hospital cursing and very very upset.a month or so later toni blew the whistle and as my parents said i was not crazy as i thought..now i have to go back in with more melanoma and im scared ive got depression and dont trust anyone with authority.bundy hospital did fly a surgeon up and i was operated on within 10 days of me walking out, that i am very grateful of, but all this happened before the whistle was blown.I cant thank her enough for getting rid of that monster

  • As a nursing student we were shown this video. Needless to say many of us were very moved at the remarkable actions of Toni Hoffman. Several of my classmates and myself would like to send Toni Hoffman a brief letter or email, thanking here for her brave and selfless actions. If anyone has these contact details it would be much appreciate, or if a message could be passed on that would be much apprecaited too. The ability to have made actions that will resound through medical practices and show future nurses what it means to care for patients is a rare talent, but is obviously shown here by Toni Hoffman. From the nursing students at my university, thank you toni.

  • We would like to contact Toni
regarding who she contacted regarding her concerns with the hospital . We are having problems with our local council and unable to find anyone that is prepared to listen to their concerns and
    take action.

  • I'd like to pass on to Toni that I believe that she is wonderful and professional nurse/woman!! I saw Toni's presentation at the recent Wellness Conference in Melbourne earlier this month and her story moved me- as it did all of the other nurses present. I am a nurse educator and will ensure that her story is shared with all of my current and future students. Having faced the trials and having walked the journey that Toni has, it must be acknowledged that her tenacity, strength of character, sheer resilience and her absolute Duty of Care to her patients has allowed the truth to be heard. Toni, you have touched the lives of many nurses and will continue to do so with all of the new generations of nursing students that I teach. Take care.

  • I can only imagine the distress and the toll this has taken on you.I hope now you can move on in the knowledge that you never gave up the fight for patient rights and without you this ugly man would still be practicing. That you did it alone and largely unsupported by the hospital doctors is unbelievable. As a fellow nurse I applaud you. Mary

  • I applaud Toni for her actions. Too many people don't want to get involved in anything that may cause scandal. Thank heavens there are still decent people
prepared to speak out if they
see an injustice. The world needs more people like Toni.
Have that holiday, you deserve it.
