Taxi armed robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery of a taxi driver at Kangaroo Point.

Around 2.30am on Saturday October 24, three men entered a taxi at the intersection of Thorn and Shafston Streets.

The passenger in the rear seat behind the driver produced a gun, threatened the taxi driver and demanding money.

The three men then got out of the taxi with a sum of cash, and fled the area on foot.

The front passenger is described as being of a Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, proportionate build with short light coloured hair. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

The rear passenger is described as being of Islander appearance, 170cm tall, thin build with tanned complexion.

The rear driver’s side passenger is described as being of Islander appearance with tanned complexion, fit build, 170cm tall, shoulder length black hair and he was wearing jeans and a light coloured T-shirt.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
