  • We need balance. It seems that the Borg's political campaign is heavily one sided focusing ONLY on jobs and health care which is part of the picture without the environmental sustainability jobs and quality of life will falter.

Special places across the state are important - once gone they never return. Tree clearing laws, wild river protection and not digging uranium out of the ground is a good start. The Borg's team have not spoken about these key environmental issues at all. While they are saving the Mary River they would approve 12 other dams to be constructed.

  • Some of you people are unbelievable!
What about worrying about our children and evryone for that matter, being safe to walk the streets without being bashed or able to have a birthday party without the threat of assult. And how about those Judge civil libertarians that don't punish criminals. Wait until it affects you.
Noooo, you care more about a tree than a person. Whats Labors policy on law and order?

  • Population growth in QLD is what is placing pressures on the system. South East Queensland alone is expected to reach a population of 4.4 million by 2030.

Clearly with such large amounts of people moving here there is going to be immense pressure on hospitals, schools and other factors. I think the labour government has done extreamly well in managing this growth and clearly Springborg has no idea about exacly how he will fix these problems. Labour is providing the infrastrucutre we need to manage this growth in a sustainable way, to preserve the Queensland Lifestyle we all love.

Springborg will not deliver this outcome! Unless he would introduce a population cap for QLD (never going to happen!!) then he too will face these problems bought on by population growth. I cant understand how people think this guy has a clue about how to run this state! How can we risk a guy who has no intrest in conserving the QLD environment, when our regions economy depends on the environment for torurism and other means.
