Deep Purple

4BC Drive: Founding member of Deep Purple and the man behind one of the world's most famous riffs, Roger Glover joins Gary Hardgrave for an indepth interview on their career spanning 40 years and the story of their biggest hit, Smoke on the Water, which was inspired by a fire that burnt down the studio they were recording in at the time.

  • And..., it wasn't the studio that burnt down, it was the casino! Listen to the lyrics!

  • Interesting. How long is an interview that covers 40 years indepth - and does that mean you'll ignore the first five years of the band's history?

  • Roger Glover is not a founding member of Deep Purple. He replaced founding member/bass player Nick Simper in 1969, two years after the formation of Deep Purple.

Please do not make stuff up when introing the interveiw subjects, the truth is much more interesting than anything you could make up.
