MP's hand power to Gillard
Apart from Queensland Independent MP Bob Katter showing late support for Tony Abbott, fellow independents Tony Windsor and Rob Oakeshott have showed support for the Gillard lead Labour party, forming the numbers for the Labour Party to form Government. Listen and comment now.

Ryan Williamson, you sir are the reason we now have the Federal Government and quite possibly the State Governments in Queensland and New South Wales that we now have.
Such unfounded fear and ignorance of the return to Work Choices has led people to vote for the ALP and the Greens.
Even those who voted for the Greens and felt warm and fuzzy along with or for the feeling of abrogation of the responsibility of making a choice, and followed the HOW-TO-VOTE card which led their vote to the ALP.
The Coalition was not in a position and was not about to be in a position to be able to change the Industrial Relations Laws, either during this term of the Senate or the next.
Learn a little about our governmental system before you continue to perpetrate the myth of the scare of the return to Work Choices.
One of the problems with democracy when the population has been dumbed-down through the socialists leaning education department is that we get ignorant people making comments.
Making comments and assumptions about a system that they clearly know nothing about.
The Lower House, or Peoples House or the Legislative Assembly (call it what you will) regardless of a majority or minority government, puts up and passes legislation, then the Senate has to approve it.
Did you, Ryan, really think that the current Senate or for that matter what we were most likely to get and did get after this election was going to allow a return to Work Choices.

After Ms Gillard knifed Rudd in the back, she was asked why she didn't move into the Lodge. Her reply was she would not move in until she was elected by the people of Australia......Where is she going to live now....seeing as she still has not been elected in by the people.

This may be the 1st truly democratic government that we have ever had.
Good to see the bush getting a bit of attention instead of money going to wasteful union projects in the city.
Julia won't be able to govern for very long under this sort of duress, I expect an early election.
We the people now have the power.
We now have a strong voice in the house.Richard Wednesday 8 September, 2010 - 7:39 AM -
It is untrue to state that the Labor Socialist have formed government. We now have a coalition government of Labor, Greens and Independants. It is a very unstable government and will disintergrate in a short time.

Did you know that Preferential Voting (where 1 party's vote can go to a different party) is actually Unlawful (illegal) in this country?
And has been since Federation?
I give you a section of the Australian Constitution.
Chapter I The Parliament
Part III The House of RepresentativesSource: Australian Constitution (AUSCONST.HLP, Rel 1.2G)
24. The House of Representatives shall be composed of members directly chosen by the people of the Commonwealth, and the number of such members shall be, as nearly as practicable, twice the number of senators.
Source: Australian Constitution (AUSCONST.HLP, Rel 1.2G)
As it says, by 'members "directly" chosen by the people of the Commonwealth'
If your candidate wins by the majority of votes, then loses because of preferential voting, Then that election of the preferential winner is invalid & illegal. And a new & fresh election must be held.
If not, WHY????
It is past time that "LAW" is enforced.
