4BC Breakfast: Recent community tension over a railway death in Logan has prompted rumours of racial rifts there. Kim and Victoria from 4BC Breakfast are joined by Logan Police Superintendent Noel Powers.

News Update

A teenager has died after being hit by a train following a noisy argument at a station south of Brisbane.

Police say the 17-year-old Woodridge boy was involved in an altercation with a group of males on the platform of Loganlea station about 6.50pm on Monday.

CCTV footage shows the teen then walking towards the tracks and being hit by an oncoming train.

Officers can't confirm if he slipped, but say it's not a criminal act and no other person was involved the death.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Police say no criminal charges will be laid.
