  • A jug of boiling water poured down their holes eradicates them from the area for at least a year. You can spot holes by the earth they put around them particularly after rain.

  • I am also allergic to green ant bites; it is difficult to believe that such a small ant (compared to a bull-ant) can inflict so pain. But I'm not sure which is worse, the bite or the uncontrollable itchings a few days afterward.
I guess its the healing that causes the itch.
Anyway have suggestions to counteract the itching?

  • I am also allergic to green ant bites so have to carry 'Epi Pen' with me at all times. I was bitten this morning and although I didnt go into an allergic reaction my foot is so painful. Have tried vegemite, vinegar, tea tree oil, panadol etc nothing eased it so tried 'witch hazel' to try and soothe it and yes it worked. Very soothing.
