  • I was a travel consultant with the QTTC back then. I had to go to counselling (well, the pub across the road) every night to deal with the stress of trying to get Sydneyites to Brisbane for Expo and find them a bed. It was madness. You'd front for work and there were a hundred people qeued up outside the door as you arrived. All 10 lines on the phone would be blinking all day and all night. Telecom (remember?) had us as the most complained about phone number in the nation. Expo hit a nerve and was popular. Thank God for that pub. And Kings Cross.
