  • Unfortunately, the indonesians that i happened to work with were bullies, were rude, abusive, unfriendly, arrogant towards disadvantaged people. Though, in all fairness, Indonesians were not the only asians group behaving badly in asia. Perhaps, they are only polite towards employers and tourists who paid them some money!

  • When I could afford it,Indonesia was always my favorite place to go for a relaxing holiday.I always found the people polite, friendly, clean, intelligent, etc.
Of course the fact that I learned the language may have helped, but generally Indonesians are a kind decent people. Of c ourse, like everywhere, there are a few bad apples. Likewise they are not fanatical Muslims, just normal decent people who happen to be mainly Muslims.
Any educational help we can give them is a good idea,as long as it's not education from our own religious fanatics.

  • It would be great if Australia can rehabiltiate a mostly abusive country such as Indonesia. But I think Australia should help its own Australians first before it helps another alien country that is known to adhere to an abusive or calculative authoritarian culture.

  • We are a great country, generous to the core as we help the less fortunate in our area of the world. Happy Australia Day to all.
