  • And that is only a fraction of what they receive.No one else who works for 3-4 years has these conditions.
    They all have their snouts in the trough. Ring your local MP & complain, to-day.

    It would be nice to protest but here is the catch 22

    Each House of the Parliament has its own rules that documents must follow in order to be accepted as petitions. To be accepted by the Senate, a petition:

    must be addressed to the Senate;

    must be presented by a Senator; and

    must be certified by the Clerk as being in conformity with the standing orders; in particular, it must contain a request for action by the Senate or the Parliament.

    In other words you 1st have to find a senator willing to give up all his entitlements.

  • The poor things I feel really sorry for them all.
    Gary Hardgrave must be doing it tough funny how they all stick together when it come down to their perks. he is an absolute hypocrite.

    They should wait like the rest of us to 60 or 65.

  • Now I know where the origin of the "You owe me a living" attitude in this country came from.
    I suppose if they can't get a federal budget right, what chance do they have of planning for their own retirement.
    We also have to remember that these pollies couldn't get a REAL job if they tried , so they do need some sort of help.
